The open records program oversees the records ombudsman services and provides training and consultation in open records requests and GRAMA classification, and provides staff support of the State Records Committee. It administers and modifies the public information website and GRAMA portal. It also administers the Utah Public Notice Website.

Assistance to the Public and Government Entities
The public needs assistance in making records requests with adequate specificity and state and local government entities need assistance and training in responding to records requests in a way that meets statutory obligations. This program promotes the efficiency of the open records requests process and provides an annual report to the Government Operations Interim Committee.
