Join Utah Office of Multicultural Affairs at these great upcoming events:

January 17th @ 6:00 PM:  The Office of Multicultural Affairs and Division of Arts and Museums are pleased to announce the opening reception for 'Only Light' Art Exhibit featuring local artists commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s spirit and accomplishments during the Civil Rights Movement.  Speakers include: Winston Wilkinson, Chair of the MLK Commission, Reverend France Davis, Calvary Baptist Church, and the 4 students who won the 2014 Davis County MLK Speech Competition.  Light refreshments will be served.  Location: Rio Gallery, 300 South Rio Grande Street, SLC.  

February 19th @ 9:00 AM: Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit: A day to engage youth in the legislative process and to gain a better understanding of the importance of becoming informed and involved citizens while also educating legislators on the importance of investing in our youth and challenging students to stay in school and graduate.  Opening remarks by Governor Gary R. Herbert.  Location: Utah State Capitol Rotunda.
