    AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $900,000 TO THE
    DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR
    HISTORIC PRESERVATION OF THE ORIGINAL BRIGHAM YOUNG ACADEMY
    BUILDING; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
    This act enacts uncodified material.
    Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
        Section 1. Appropriation.
        There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1997-98 $900,000 to the
    Department of Community and Economic Development to be used for the historic preservation
    of certain buildings of the original Brigham Young Academy.
        Section 2. Effective date.
        This act takes effect on July 1, 1997.
