5 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $85,000 TO THE DIVISION
6 OF STATE HISTORY TO DOCUMENT STATE, COUNTY, AND CITY CENTENNIAL
7 ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS HELD DURING THE 1996 CENTENNIAL YEAR; AND
8 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
9 This act enacts uncodified material.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Appropriation.
12 (1) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1997-98 $85,000 in
13 nonlapsing funds to the Division of State History to:
14 (a) document each important and eventful state, county, and city centennial activity or
15 project conducted during the 1996 centennial year;
16 (b) publish and sell copies of the compilation; and
17 (c) distribute free copies of the compilation to each public library and school library in
18 Utah.
19 (2) The Division of State History shall deposit any revenues generated from sales of the
20 compilation into the General Fund.
21 Section 2. Effective date.
22 If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this act takes effect
23 upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah
24 Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto, the
25 date of veto override.
