YIELDING TO CERTAIN VEHICLES

5 AN ACT RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES; REQUIRING MOTOR VEHICLE
6 OPERATORS TO YIELD THE RIGHT-OF-WAY TO BUSES REENTERING THE TRAFFIC
7 FLOW.
8 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
9 ENACTS:
10 41-6-76.5, Utah Code Annotated 1953
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Section 41-6-76.5 is enacted to read:
13 41-6-76.5. Buses -- Yield right-of-way.
14 (1) The operator of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a public transit or school bus
15 traveling in the same direction that has signaled and is reentering the traffic flow.
16 (2) This section does not relieve the operator of a transit vehicle from the duty to drive
17 with regard for the safety of all persons using the highway.
