AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $200,000 TO RESTORE A
HISTORIC WORLD WAR II B-24 BOMBER AIRCRAFT TO MUSEUM QUALITY;
ALLOCATING A PORTION OF THE APPROPRIATION TO THE FORT DOUGLAS
MILITARY MUSEUM; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
This act enacts uncodified material.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Appropriation.
(1) There is appropriated $200,000 from the General Fund to the Department of
Community and Economic Development for fiscal year 1997-98 to restore a World War II B-24
bomber aircraft to museum quality.
(2) Fifteen percent of this appropriation is allocated towards the renovation and expansion
of displays at the Fort Douglas Military Museum.
(3) These funds are nonlapsing.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act takes effect on July 1, 1997.
