APPROPRIATION FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTERS
1997 GENERAL SESSION

AN ACT RELATING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE; APPROPRIATING $325,000 TO
PROVIDE HOUSING FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
This act enacts uncodified material.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Appropriation.
There is appropriated for fiscal year 1997-98, $325,000 from the General Fund to the
Division of Community Development within the Department of Community and Economic
Development to provide housing for victims of domestic violence. This appropriation may be used
to complete housing facilities currently under construction or to alter, renovate, or improve
existing facilities.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act takes effect on July 1, 1997.
