APPROPRIATION FOR FORESTRY EXTENSION SERVICES

5 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $102,200 FROM THE
6 GENERAL FUND IN FISCAL YEAR 1997-98 TO UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY
7 EXTENSION FOR A PRIVATE FOREST LANDOWNER EDUCATION PROGRAM; AND
8 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
9 This act enacts uncodified material.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Appropriation.
12 (1) There is appropriated $102,200 from the General Fund for fiscal year 1997-98 to Utah
13 State University Extension for a private forest landowner education program.
14 (2) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) may be used to hire extension personnel and
15 pay for expenses relating to developing and conducting a private forest landowner education
16 program in coordination with the Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands and the Utah Farm
17 Bureau.
18 (3) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) is non-lapsing.
19 Section 2. Effective date.
20 This act takes effect on July 1, 1997.
