UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITY BUDGET APPROVAL

5 AN ACT RELATING TO SPECIAL DISTRICTS; REQUIRING THE SUBMISSION OF
6 PUBLIC TRANSIT DISTRICT BUDGETS TO THE LEGISLATURE FOR EXAMINATION
7 AND APPROVAL.
8 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
9 ENACTS:
10 17A-2-1060, Utah Code Annotated 1953
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Section 17A-2-1060 is enacted to read:
13 17A-2-1060. Budget examination and approval.
14 In addition to the requirements under Title 17A, Chapter 1, Part 5, Submission of Budgets
15 and Audit Reports, the district shall submit a copy of its tentative budget to the Legislature for
16 examination and to a legislative committee, as designated by the Legislative Management
17 Committee, for approval before the board approves a final budget.
