APPROPRIATION FOR STUDY OF FACILITY

6 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $200,000 FROM THE
7 GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996-97 FOR THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF
8 UTAH; STATING THE USE OF THE MONEY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
9 This act enacts uncodified material.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Appropriation.
12 (1) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1996-1997, $200,000 to
13 the Children's Museum of Utah.
14 (2) It is the intent of the Legislature that this appropriation shall be used to conduct a study
15 of the economic feasibility and facility requirements for a new Children's Museum of Utah,
16 including:
17 (a) necessary square footage;
18 (b) necessary parking for visitors;
19 (c) school bus accessibility;
20 (d) proximity to public transportation;
21 (e) availability of outdoor space for community exhibits;
22 (f) availability of classroom space; and
23 (g) availability of children's theater space.
24 Section 2. Effective date.
25 This act takes effect on July 1, 1997.
