TRUANCY PREVENTION APPROPRIATION

5 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $500,000 FROM THE
6 h [ GENERAL ] UNIFORM SCHOOL h FUND TO THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR
6a GRANTS TO
7 DISTRICTS TO ESTABLISH A TRUANCY SUPPORT CENTER; AND PROVIDING AN
8 EFFECTIVE DATE.
9 This act enacts uncodified material.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Appropriation.
12 There is appropriated $500,000 from the h [ General ] UNIFORM SCHOOL h Fund for fiscal year
12a 1998-99 to the State
13 Board of Education to provide grants to school districts to provide and staff truancy support
14 centers as created in accordance with Section 53A-11-106.
15 Section 2. Effective date.
16 This act takes effect on July 1, 1998.
