APPROPRIATION FOR BRIDGERLAND ICE ARENA

5 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $2,000,000 FROM THE
6 GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
7 COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR USE IN CONSTRUCTION OF
8 THE BRIDGERLAND COMMUNITY ICE ARENA; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
9 DATE.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1998-99 $2,000,000 to the
14 Department of Community and Economic Development for distribution to h [ the Bridgerland
15 Community Ice Arena, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization ] AN APPROPRIATE PUBLIC
15a ENTITY h , for construction of the
16 Bridgerland Community Ice Arena h [ in partnership with Hyde Park City ] h , to help fulfill the
16a statewide
17 public purpose of providing sports and recreation facilities for the people of the state and of
18 providing a potential practice facility for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
19 Section 2. Effective date.
20 This act takes effect on July 1, 1998.
