UTAH BOTANICAL CENTER APPROPRIATION
1998 GENERAL SESSION

AN ACT RELATING TO HIGHER EDUCATION; APPROPRIATING $250,000 TO UTAH
STATE UNIVERSITY FROM THE GENERAL FUND IN FISCAL YEAR 1998-99 FOR
INFRASTRUCTURE COSTS OF THE UTAH BOTANICAL CENTER; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
This act enacts uncodified material.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Appropriation.
(1) There is appropriated $250,000 to Utah State University from the General Fund in
fiscal year 1998-99 for the Utah Botanical Center to be used for the purpose specified in
Subsection (2).
(2) The appropriation in Subsection (1) shall be used for the development of infrastructure.
(3) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) is nonlapsing.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act takes effect on July 1, 1998.
