    A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES REVISING HOUSE RULES;
    ELIMINATING OBSOLETE PROVISIONS; PROHIBITING INTERFERENCE WITH
    CERTAIN HOUSE PERSONNEL DURING ROLL CALL VOTES; MAKING TECHNICAL
    CORRECTIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
    This resolution affects legislative rules as follows:
    AMENDS:
         HR-22.10
         HR-27.16
    REPEALS:
         HR-27.06
    Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the state of Utah:
        Section 1. HR-22.10 is amended to read:
         HR-22.10. Voting.
        No person shall disturb or remain by the desks of the Chief Clerk of the House, Docket
    Clerk, [or] Minute Clerk, Voting Machine Operator, or Public Address System Operator while [a]
    an electronic or roll call vote is being taken.
        Section 2. HR-27.16 is amended to read:
         HR-27.16. Constitutional Motion.
        [(1)] At the beginning of each session of the House, before the reading of any bill or
    resolution, the House Rules Committee chair shall make the following motion:
        "Mr. (Madam) Speaker, as provided by the Utah Constitution, I move that we suspend the
    requirement that every bill be read by title three separate times in the House of Representatives.
    I further move that this suspension apply to all bills and resolutions introduced during this
    legislative session, except that a majority of the House may direct the reading of the long title,


    short title, or both of any House or Senate bill or resolution."
        [(2) At the beginning of each daily journal, the Minute Clerk shall record the page on which
    the motion to suspend reading of titles of bills and resolutions is made.]
        Section 3. Repealer.
        This act repeals:
        Rule HR-27.06, Motion to Table.
        Section 4. Effective date.
        This resolution takes effect upon approval by a constitutional two-thirds vote of all members
    of the House of Representatives.
