6    AN ACT RELATING TO HEALTH; REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE POLICIES COVER
7    CHILDHOOD IMMUNIZATIONS.
8    This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
9    ENACTS:
10         31A-22-610.2, Utah Code Annotated 1953
11    Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12        Section 1. Section 31A-22-610.2 is enacted to read:
13         31A-22-610.2. Coverage for childhood immunizations.
14        (1) A disability insurance policy that provides coverage for a dependent child shall cover
15    the following immunizations for that child from birth to age of six:
16        (a) diphtheria;
17        (b) haemophilus influenza type b;
18        (c) hepatitis B;
19        (d) measles;
20         (e) mumps;
21         (f) pertussis;
22        (g) polio;
23         (h) rubella;
24        (i) tetanus;
25         (j) varicella; and
26        (k) any other immunization required by law for the child.
27        (2) (a) Immunization benefits under Subsection (1) may not be subject to a deductible,


1    copayment, or coinsurance requirement.
2        (b) Subsection (2)(a) does not prohibit the application of a deductible, copayment, or
3    coinsurance requirement to another service provided at the same time as an immunization.
