6 AN ACT RELATING TO THE STATE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY; PROVIDING A
7 $225,000 APPROPRIATION TO THE MUSEUM TO STRENGTHEN ITS EDUCATION,
8 EXHIBIT, AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS ON THE STATE'S DINOSAURS AND OTHER
9 PALEONTOLOGICAL RESOURCES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 (1) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1998-99, $225,000 to the
14 State Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah to:
15 (a) strengthen the education, exhibit, and outreach programs on the state's dinosaurs and
16 other paleontological resources for the citizens of the state and visitors to the state; and
17 (b) ensure proper care of these invaluable fossil collections.
18 (2) It is the intent of the Legislature that this appropriation be ongoing.
19 Section 2. Effective date.
20 This act takes effect on July 1, 1998.
