6    AN ACT RELATING TO HIGHWAYS; DEFINING THE ACCESS ROAD TO EDGE OF THE
7    CEDARS STATE PARK; AND PROVIDING THAT THE CITY OF BLANDING HAS
8    JURISDICTION FOR THE ACCESS ROAD.
9    This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
10    AMENDS:
11         27-12-23.6, as enacted by Chapter 247, Laws of Utah 1993
12    Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
13        Section 1. Section 27-12-23.6 is amended to read:
14         27-12-23.6. Roads qualifying under Section 27-12-23.5 -- Anasazi Indian Village
15     State Park to Edge of the Cedars State Park.
16        The roads which qualify under Section 27-12-23.5 are as follows:
17        (1) ANASAZI INDIAN VILLAGE STATE PARK. Access to the Anasazi Indian Village
18    State Park is at the park entrance located in Garfield County at milepoint 87.8 on State Highway
19    12. No access road is defined.
20        (2) BEAR LAKE STATE PARK (Marina). Access to the Bear Lake Marina is at the pay
21    gate located in Rich County at milepoint 413.2 on State Highway 89. No access road is defined.
22        (3) BEAR LAKE STATE PARK (East Shore). Access to the Bear Lake East Shore begins
23    in Rich County at State Highway 30 and proceeds northerly along a county road (L326) a distance
24    of 9.2 miles, to the camping area of the park and is under the jurisdiction of Rich County.
25        (4) BEAR LAKE STATE PARK (Rendezvous Beach). Access to the Bear Lake
26    Rendezvous Beach is at the park entrance located in Rich County at milepoint 124.5 on State
27    Highway 30. No access road is defined.


1        (5) CAMP FLOYD/STAGECOACH INN STATE PARK. Access to the Camp
2    Floyd/Stagecoach Inn State Park is at the parking area located in Utah County at milepoint 20.6
3    on State Highway 73. No access road is defined.
4        (6) CORAL PINK SAND DUNES STATE PARK. Access to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes
5    State Park begins in Kane County at State Highway 89 and proceeds southwesterly along a county
6    road a distance of 12.0 miles to the visitor center of the park and is under the jurisdiction of Kane
7    County.
8        (7) DEAD HORSE POINT STATE PARK. Access to Dead Horse Point State Park begins
9    in Grand County at State Highway 191 and proceeds southwesterly along State Highway 313 a
10    distance of 20.8 miles to the camping area at the park and is under the jurisdiction of UDOT.
11        (8) DEER CREEK STATE PARK. Access to Deer Creek State Park begins in Wasatch
12    County at State Highway 189 and proceeds southwesterly along State Highway 314 a distance of
13    0.2 miles to the boat ramp at the park and is under the jurisdiction of UDOT.
14        (9) EAST CANYON STATE PARK. Access to East Canyon State Park begins in Morgan
15    County at State Highway 66 and proceeds southeasterly along State Highway 306 a distance of
16    0.1 miles to the parking area at the park and is under the jurisdiction of UDOT.
17        (10) EDGE OF THE CEDARS STATE PARK. Access to Edge of the Cedars State Park
18    [is at] begins in Blanding at U.S. Highway 191 and proceeds west on Center Street to 600 West
19    then north on 600 West to the parking area and museum located [in San Juan County] at 660 West
20    400 North [in Blanding, Utah]. [No access road is defined.] The access road is under the
21    jurisdiction of Blanding.
