PILOT PROJECT OF INTERNET VOTING

5 AN ACT RELATING TO ELECTIONS; AUTHORIZING CERTAIN COUNTIES TO
6 PARTICIPATE IN AN ELECTRONIC VOTING PILOT PROJECT; AND PROVIDING A
7 REPEAL DATE.
8 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
9 ENACTS:
10 20A-6-103, Utah Code Annotated 1953
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Section 20A-6-103 is enacted to read:
13 20A-6-103. Internet voting pilot project.
14 Notwithstanding any other provisions of this title, any second class county may, if selected
15 by the Department of Defense, participate in the Federal Voting Assistance Program pilot project
16 to allow military voters as defined by Section 20A-3-403 to cast their votes electronically.
17 Section 2. Repeal date.
18 This act is repealed January 1, 2003.
