6    AN ACT RELATING TO STATE APPROPRIATIONS; PROVIDING A h [ $1,750,000 ] $300,000 h
7    APPROPRIATION FOR THE COMPLETION OF FACILITIES AT THE AMERICAN WEST
8    HERITAGE CENTER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
9    This act enacts uncodified material.
10    Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11        Section 1. Appropriation.
12        (1) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1998-99, h [ $1,750,000 ]
12a     $300,000 h to the
13    Department of Community and Economic Development for h [ the completion of facilities at the
14    American West Heritage Center that will allow the state to make current and historical information
15    and presentations about Utah available to citizens and nonresidents of the state.
16        (2) From the amount appropriated under Subsection (1), $900,000 shall be used to
17    complete the
] h
construction of the Cache Valley Welcome Center h [ and $850,000 shall be used for
18    costs associated with code renovations, design fees, and construction contingencies for existing
19    buildings at the Jensen Historical Farm, a component of the American West Heritage Center
] h
.
20         h [ (3) ] (2) h The appropriation is nonlapsing.
21        Section 2. Effective date.
22        This act takes effect on July 1, 1998.
