ARTS, TECHNOLOGY, AND EDUCATION APPROPRIATION
1998 GENERAL SESSION

AN ACT RELATING TO STATE APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $20,000 TO THE
STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION AND $75,000 TO THE UTAH ARTS COUNCIL FOR A
COLLABORATIVE EFFORT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FILM AND VIDEO ON
ARTS, TECHNOLOGY, AND EDUCATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
This act enacts uncodified material.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Appropriation.
(1) There is appropriated from the Uniform School Fund for fiscal year 1998-99, $20,000
to the State Board of Education for the development of a film and video curriculum for arts,
technology, and education in cooperation with the Utah Arts Council.
(2) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1998-99, $75,000 to the
Utah Arts Council for the development of cooperative programming with the State Office of
Education.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act takes effect on July 1, 1998.
