Mr. Speaker:

    The Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 24, PENALTY FOR ABANDONED OR UNATTENDED CAMPFIRE, by Representative D. Hogue, with the following amendments:
1.    Page 1, Line 1:    Delete " OR UNATTENDED"

2.    Page 1, Line 7:    After "REGARDING" delete "LEAVING AN UNATTENDED" and insert "ABANDONING A"

3.    Page 3, Line 14:    After " Abandoned" delete " or unattended"

4.    Page 3, Line 15:    After "fire if" and before "he" insert ", under circumstances not amounting to the offense of arson, aggravated arson, or causing a catastrophe under Title 76, Chapter 6, Part 1, Offenses Against Property,"

5.    Page 3, Line 18:    Delete Lines 18 through 21.

6.    Page 3, Line 22:    Delete "(3)" and insert "(2)"

7.    Page 3, Line 24:    Delete "(4)" and insert "(3)"
        After "Subsection (1)" delete "or (2) that"

8.    Page 3, Line 24:    After Line 24 insert:
        "(a) is a class C misdemeanor if the property damage is or exceeds $150 but is less than $300 in value;"

9.    Page 3, Line 25:    Delete "(a) does not result in damage to property" and insert "(b)"


10.    Page 3, Line 25:    After "misdemeanor" and before ";" insert "if property damage is or exceeds $300 but is less than $1,000 in value"

11.    Page 3, Line 26:    Delete "(b) results in damage to property" and insert "(c)"

12.    Page 3, Line 26:     After "misdemeanor" and before "." insert "if property damage is or exceeds $1,000 in value; and"

13.    Page 3, Line 27:    Delete "(5)" and insert "(4)"
        Delete "(4)(b)" and insert "(3) "
