Mr. Speaker:

    The Health and Human Services Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 59, ADOPTION AMENDMENTS, by Representative N. Stephens, with the following amendments:
1.    Page 1, Line 7:    After "EVALUATION;" insert "REQUIRING ADOPTIVE EVALUATIONS TO BE COMPLETED OR UPDATED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF EACH ADOPTIVE PLACEMENT INSTEAD OF THREE YEARS;"

2.    Page 2, Line 9:    After "by a" bracket "previous"

3.     Page 2, Line10:    After "within" bracket "three years" and insert "one year", and after "child" insert "." and bracket the remainder of line 10.

4.    Page 2, Lines 11-12:    Bracket all of lines 11 and 12

5.    Page 3, Line 4:    After "filed" insert "." and delete the remainder of line 4

6.    Page 3, Line 5:    Delete line 5 and insert "If the court has authorized temporary placement under Subsection (1)(b), the evaluation shall be filed with the court upon completion."
