Mr. President:

    The Revenue and Taxation Committee has returned S.B. 217, TAX CREDIT FOR CLEAN FUEL VEHICLES, by Senator L. McAllister, to the Secretary of the Senate with the following amendments:

    1. Page 1, Line 9:    After "APPROPRIATING" delete "$300,000" and insert "$150,000"

    2. Page 1, Line 26:    Delete "fund" and insert "program"

    3. Page 2, Line 3:    Delete "deposit into" and after "the" delete "fund" insert "program"

    4. Page 3, Line 26:    After "of the" insert "incremental"

    5. Page 5, Line 25:    After "of the" insert "incremental"

    6. Page 6, Line 29:    After "1998-99" delete "$300,000" and insert "$150,000"

    7. Page 7, Line 2:    After "effect on" delete "July 1, 1998" and insert "January 1, 1999"
