Senator Myrin proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 1:    Delete "EXECUTIVE" and insert "ORGANIZING"

2.    Page 1, Line 9:    After "2002" insert "AND ENCOURAGING CONSIDERATION OF THE APPOINTMENT OF A REPRESENTATIVE OF NATIVE AMERICANS TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE SALT LAKE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE FOR THE OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES OF 2002"

3.    Page 2, Line 13:    After "support;" delete "and"

4.    Page 2, Line 15:    After "process" delete ":" and insert "; and"

5.    Page 2, Line 15:    After line 15 insert "WHEREAS the rich cultural heritage and involvement of Native American residents of the state in preparing for and hosting the Olympic Winter Games of 2002 is integral to the successful presentation of the Olympics:"

6.    Page 2, Line 21:    After line 21 insert "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, to help ensure that the Native American community has adequate representation and participation in the decision making process leading up to and during the Olympic Winter Games of 2002, the governor jointly with the mayor of Salt Lake City should consider the appointment of a representative of Native Americans to serve as a member of the board of trustees of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002, based on recommendations of the leaders of Native American tribes located in whole or in part in the state."
