Representative Valentine proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 8
    Goldenrod 2-10-98:    After "MARKET;" insert "AMENDING MANDATORY COVERAGE FOR RENTAL COMPANIES;"

2.    Page 1, Line 25    
    Goldenrod 2-10-98:    After line 25 insert:
        " 31A-22-314, as enacted by Chapter 316, Laws of Utah"

3.      Page 20, Line 6:    After line 6 insert:
        "Section 6. Section 31A-22-314 is amended to read:
         31A-22-314 .   Mandatory coverage.
         (1) A rental company shall provide its renters with primary coverage meeting the requirements of Title 41, Chapter 12a, Financial Responsibility of Motor Vehicle Owners and Operators Act, unless there is other valid or collectible insurance coverage.
        (2) All coverage shall include primary defense costs and may not be waived. "

         Renumber remaining sections accordingly.
