Senate Floor Amendments

Senator Howard Stephenson proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 14:    After "following" delete "15" and insert "17"

2.     Page 1, Line 26:    After "(viii)" delete "one member" and insert "three members", after "be" delete "a parent of a" and insert "parents of", and after "school" delete "student" and insert "students"

3.     Page 1, Line 27:    After "through" delete "(viii)" and insert "(vii)"

4.     Page 2, Line 1:    After line 1 insert the following:
        "(c) (i) One of the parent members under Subsection (1)(a)(viii) shall be appointed by the president of the Senate, one shall be appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives, and one shall be appointed by the governor.
        (ii) In addition to the parent members under Subsection (1)(a)(viii), at least 50% of the rest of the members shall have a child who attends or who has attended a middle school."
