STRATEGIC PLANNING ACT FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE AMENDMENTS

Representative Wright proposes the following amendments:
1. Page 1, Lines 6-7: After "EDUCATION;" delete "MODIFYING THE MISSION OF PUBLIC EDUCATION UNDER THE STATE STRATEGIC PLAN;"
2. Page 2, Line 19: After "plan;" insert "and"
3. Page 2, Lines 20-21: Delete lines 20 through 21 and renumber remaining subsections accordingly
4. Page 3, Line 1: Remove opening bracket and reinstate "assure Utah the best educated citizenry in the world and each individual the training to"
5. Page 3, Line 2: Reinstate "succeed in a global society by" and remove closing bracket; delete "be a world leader in" and after "providing" remove opening bracket and reinstate "students with learning and"
6. Page 3, Line 3: Reinstate "occupational skills, character development, literacy, and" and remove the closing bracket and delete "the opportunities and instructional"
7. Page 3, Lines 4-5: Delete "support for each student to gain the" and after "knowledge" remove the opening bracket and reinstate the bracketed language on lines 4 through 5
8. Page 3, Line 6: Reinstate "accountable for results" and insert a period "." and remove closing bracket and delete the rest of line 6
9. Page 3, Lines 7-13: Delete lines 7 through 13
10. Page 3, Lines 26-27: Remove the brackets and reinstate the bracketed language on lines
