             5      AN ACT RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY; APPROPRIATING $50,000 h FOR FISCAL YEAR
             5a      1999-2000 h FROM THE
             6      GENERAL FUND TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR OPERATING
             7      COSTS OF THE UTAH MISSING PERSON CLEARINGHOUSE.
             8      This act enacts uncodified material.
             9      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             10          Section 1. Appropriation.
             11          (1) Except as provided in H.B. 4, Appropriations Coordination Act, there is appropriated
             12      from the General Fund to the Department of Public Safety $50,000, h FOR FISCAL YEAR
             12a      1999-2000, h to be applied to the operation
             13      of the Utah Missing Person Clearinghouse, which is within the Criminal Investigations and
             14      Technical Services Division.
             15          (2) This appropriation shall be used to provide for the following purposes as necessary to
             16      operate the clearinghouse and to effectively serve the citizens of Utah:
             17          (a) one full-time employee;
             18          (b) daily expenses, including postage, telephone and fax, printing and binding, and
             19      promotional items;
             20          (c) communication equipment, including toll free line, telephone and fax, voice mail,
             21      pager, and long distance charges;
             22          (d) data processing services;
             23          (e) travel to provide public and law enforcement agency education and to attend
             24      conferences;
             25          (f) inservice training; and
             26          (g) computer equipment upgrades.
