APPROPRIATION FOR UTAH HIGHWAY
2 PATROL DIVISION
3 1999 GENERAL SESSION

6 AN ACT RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY AND APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING
7 $1,263,780 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000 TO THE UTAH
8 HIGHWAY PATROL DIVISION TO FUND THE ADDITION OF 15 NEW FIELD TROOPERS;
9 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 Except as provided in H.B. 4, Appropriations Coordination Act, there is appropriated from
14 the General Fund for fiscal year 1999-2000, $1,263,780 to the Utah Highway Patrol Division of
15 the state Department of Public Safety, for the costs directly involved in the addition of 15 new field
16 troopers.
17 Section 2. Effective date.
18 This act takes effect on July 1, 1999.
