5 AN ACT RELATING TO CRIMINAL LAW; SPECIFYING JURISDICTIONS WHERE
6 PROSECUTIONS FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES AGAINST PERSONS YOUNGER THAN 18
7 YEARS OF AGE MAY BE BROUGHT.
8 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
9 ENACTS:
10 76-5-412, Utah Code Annotated 1953
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Section 76-5-412 is enacted to read:
13 76-5-412. Venue of actions.
14 Criminal actions under this part committed upon a victim younger than 18 years of age may
15 be prosecuted in the county or district where:
16 (1) the offense is alleged to have been committed;
17 (2) the existence of the offense is discovered;
18 (3) the victim resides; or
19 (4) the defendant resides.
