RESTRICTION ON CREATION OF LOCAL

6 AN ACT RELATING TO LIMITED PURPOSE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENTITIES;
7 EXTENDING THE DATE BEFORE WHICH THE PROCESS TO CREATE A LOCAL
8 DISTRICT MAY NOT BE INITIATED.
9 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
10 AMENDS:
11 17B-2-217, as enacted by Chapter 368, Laws of Utah 1998
12 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
13 Section 1. Section 17B-2-217 is amended to read:
14 17B-2-217. Limitation on initiating process to create local district.
15 Notwithstanding any other provision of this part and except as provided in Section
16 17A-2-101 , the process to create a local district under this part may not be initiated before May [3]
17 2, [1999] 2000.
