APPROPRIATION FOR WILDLIFE DAMAGE MANAGEMENT
2000 GENERAL SESSION

AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $75,000 FROM THE
GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000-01 TO THE JACK H. BERRYMAN INSTITUTE
AT UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
This act enacts uncodified material.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Appropriation.
(1) There is appropriated $75,000 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2000-01 to the
Jack H. Berryman Institute at Utah State University to conduct research and extension activities
on how to prevent and manage damage by wildlife.
(2) Up to $60,000 of the money appropriated in Subsection (1) may be used to fund a
Southern Utah University faculty position in wildlife damage management.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act takes effect on July 1, 2000.
