ASSOCIATIONS OF GOVERNMENTS

6 AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $55,000 TO EACH OF THE
7 SEVEN ASSOCIATIONS OF GOVERNMENTS FOR A TOTAL APPROPRIATION OF
8 $385,000; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
9 This act enacts uncodified material.
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Legislative intent.
12 The Legislature acknowledges the valuable contributions made by the seven associations
13 of governments within the fabric of government in the state. It is the intent of the Legislature, in
14 making this appropriation, to assist these associations of governments in fulfilling their statewide
15 public purpose of bringing together local government entities located within the various regions
16 of the state, as defined by the associations of governments, for the purposes of planning and other
17 cooperative efforts for the benefit of the citizens of the state.
18 Section 2. Appropriation.
19 There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2000-2001, $385,000 to be
20 distributed $55,000 each to:
21 (1) the Bear River Association of Governments;
22 (2) the Wasatch Front Regional Council;
23 (3) the Mountainland Association of Governments;
24 (4) the Six County Association of Governments;
25 (5) the Five County Association of Governments;
26 (6) the Uintah Basin Association of Governments; and
27 (7) the Southeastern Utah Association of Governments.

28 Section 3. Effective date.
29 This act takes effect on July 1, 2000.
