             7      A RESOLUTION OF THE SENATE REVISING SENATE RULES; CHANGING THE
             8      RETIREMENT STANDING COMMITTEE TO THE QUASI-GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES
             9      STANDING COMMITTEE; MAKING TECHNICAL CHANGES; AND PROVIDING AN
             10      EFFECTIVE DATE.
             11      This resolution affects legislative rules as follows:
             12      AMENDS:
             13          SR-24.05
             14      Be it resolved by the Senate of the state of Utah:
             15          Section 1. SR-24.05 is amended to read:
             16           SR-24.05. Standing Committees.
             17          (1) The President shall appoint the following standing committees:
             18          [(1)] (a) Business, Labor, and Economic Development;
             19          [(2)] (b) Education;
             20          [(3)] (c) Energy, Natural Resources, and Agriculture;
             21          [(4)] (d) Health and Environment;
             22          [(5)] (e) Human Services;
             23          [(6)] (f) Judiciary;
             24          [(7) Retirement;]
             25          [(8)] (g) Revenue and Taxation;
             26          [(9)] (h) Senate Rules;
             27          [(10)] (i) State and Local Affairs; and


             28          [(11)] (j) Transportation and Public Safety.
             29          (2) The members of the Legislative Quasi-Governmental Entities Committee created in
             30      Section 63-95-201 appointed from the Senate constitute a standing committee.
             31          Section 2. Effective date.
             32          This resolution takes effect upon approval by a constitutional majority vote of all members
             33      of the Senate.
