Mr. President:

    The Human Services Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 29, AMENDMENTS TO PUBLIC ASSISTANCE, by Representative L. Frandsen, with the following amendments:
1.    Page 1, Lines 5-8:    Delete "PROVIDING THAT A FAMILY WHICH INCLUDES AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS BEEN BATTERED OR SUBJECTED TO EXTREME CRUELTY SHALL NOT BE COUNTED AS PART OF THE 20% BENEFIT TIME LIMIT" and insert "AMENDING PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE EMPLOYMENT"

2.    Page 2, Line 36:    Reinstate ": (i)"

3.    Page 2, Line 36:    Reinstate "; or" and delete "."

4.    Page 2, Line 37:    Reinstate "(ii)"

5.    Page 2, Lines 37-38:    Delete "(c) The division may provide cash assistance to a family beyond the 36-month time limit in Subsection (2)"

6.    Page 2, Lines 39-41:    Delete "A family qualifying for an extension under this section shall not be counted as part of the 20% of the average monthly number of families receiving cash assistance under Subsection (4)(b)."

7.    Page 2, Line 42:    Reinstate "(c)" and delete "(d)"

8.    Page 2, Line 48:    Reinstate "(d)"and delete "(e)"

9.    Page 2, Line 48:    After "Subsection (4)" reinstate "(c)" and delete "(d)"
