Mr. Speaker:

    The Political Subdivisions Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 88, EXCLUSION OF TERRITORY FROM COUNTY SERVICE AREA, by Senator P. Hellewell, with the following amendments:
1.    Page 1, Line 7:    After "PROVISIONS;" insert "FOR COUNTY SERVICE AREAS LOCATED IN CERTAIN COUNTIES,"

2.    Page 1, Line 22:    After "(ii)" insert "for a county service area that is not located within a county of the first class,"

3.    Page 2, Line 42:    After "(c)(i)" delete the remainder of line 42

4.    Page 2, Line 43:    At the beginning of line 43 delete "service area" and insert "The" and after "trustees" insert "of a county service area that is not located in a county of the first class" and after "shall" delete "give written" and insert "provide advance"

5.    Page 2, Line 44:    After "resolution" insert "under Subsection (1)(a)(ii) by:
        (A) at least 45 days before adopting a resolution, giving written notice"

6.    Page 2, Line 45:    After "excluded" insert:

        "; and
        (B) publishing a notice in a newspaper of general circulation within the county service area at least once a week for two consecutive weeks, the last publication being no more than ten days before adopting a resolution"

7.    Page 2, Line 53:    After "(ii)" insert "for a county service area that is not located within a county of the first class,"


8.    Page 3, Line 73:    After "(c)(i)" delete the remainder of line 73

9.    Page 3, Line 74:    At the beginning of line 74 delete "service area" and insert "The" and after "trustees" insert "of a county service area that is not located in a county of the first class" and after "shall" delete "give written" and insert "provide advance"

10.    Page 3, Line 75:    After "resolution" insert "under Subsection (2)(a)(ii) by:
        (A) at least 45 days before adopting a resolution, giving written notice"

11.    Page 3, Line 76:    After "excluded" insert:

        "; and
        (B) publishing a notice in a newspaper of general circulation within the county service area at least once a week for two consecutive weeks, the last publication being no more than ten days before adopting a resolution"
