Representative Nora Stephens proposes the following amendments:
1. Page 28a, Lines 855i - 855l
House Floor Amendments
dated 2-29-2000: Delete lines 855i through 855l and insert:
" (1) It is the intent of the Legislature that school boards, in their negotiations with teachers, may determine to allow a portion of the legislative appropriation for teacher compensation funds to be utilized for class size reduction, textbooks, and school supplies, so long as teachers with five or less years in the classroom receive additional significant compensation. "
