         REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TAX INCREMENT CHANGES

Senator Davis proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 7:    After "BUDGETS;" insert "REQUIRING A CERTAIN PERCENTAGE OF TAX INCREMENT IN FUTURE PROJECT AREA BUDGETS TO BE ALLOCATED FOR HOUSING;"

2.    Page 3, Lines 68-70:    Delete lines 68 through 70 and insert:

        "(iii)(A) Each project area budget adopted after May 1, 2000 shall allocate at least 20% of tax increment for housing as provided in Subsection 17A-2-1264(3)(a).
        (B) Before the taxing agency committee may give its consent to a project area budget adopted after May 1, 2000, the agency shall comply with Subsection 17A-2-1264(2)(b)."

3.    Page 3, Line 78:    After "17A-2-1264" delete "(2)" and insert "(3)"
