COUNTY ELECTION AMENDMENTS
2 2001 GENERAL SESSION

5 This act modifies provisions of the Election Code relating to ballot form by allowing counties
6 to develop and implement systems that allow voters to cast their votes electronically.
7 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
8 ENACTS:
9 20A-6-104, Utah Code Annotated 1953
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Section 20A-6-104 is enacted to read:
12 20A-6-104. Electronic ballots and electronic voting.
13 h [ Any ] UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR AS CHIEF ELECTION
13a OFFICER, A h county may develop and implement a voting system meeting the requirements of the
14 Utah Constitution that allows a voter to cast the voter's vote electronically.
