             6      This act modifies the State Institutions Title by repealing obsolete and lapsed sections.
             7      This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
             8      AMENDS:
             9          72-11-104, as renumbered and amended by Chapter 270, Laws of Utah 1998
             10      REPEALS:
             11          64-1-1, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             12          64-1-2, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             13          64-1-4, as last amended by Chapter 128, Laws of Utah 1959
             14          64-1-5, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             15          64-1-6, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             16          64-1-7, as last amended by Chapter 67, Laws of Utah 1984
             17          64-1-8, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             18          64-1-9, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             19      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             20          Section 1. Section 72-11-104 is amended to read:
             21           72-11-104. Laws applicable to construction contracts and contractor's bonds.
             22          (1) Construction contracts entered into by the committee under the authority of this chapter
             23      [are not subject to the provisions of Sections 64-1-4 and 64-1-5 and] shall be governed solely by
             24      this chapter, except that they are subject to the approval of the Division of Facilities Construction
             25      and Management.
             26          (2) The provisions of Title 14, Chapter 1, Public Contracts requiring contractor's bonds
             27      are expressly made applicable to any construction contract under this chapter when the amount of


             28      the contract exceeds $1,000.
             29          Section 2. Repealer.
             30          This act repeals:
             31          Section 64-1-1, Governing boards -- Governor to appoint.
             32          Section 64-1-2, Vacancies -- Term of office.
             33          Section 64-1-4, Buildings -- Repairs and construction -- Contracts for.
             34          Section 64-1-5, Advertising for bids -- Proposals -- Awards.
             35          Section 64-1-6, Monthly expenses -- Payment.
             36          Section 64-1-7, Annual reports to Division of Archives.
             37          Section 64-1-8, Biennial accounts -- Estimate of income and requirements.
             38          Section 64-1-9, Remittance of proceeds of sales of products.
