             6      This act appropriates $150,000 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2001-02 to the
             7      Department of Community and Economic Development for costs of recovery from tornado
             8      damage to Memory Grove. This act provides an effective date.
             9      This act enacts uncodified material.
             10      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             11          Section 1. Intent.
             12          Memory Grove in the Capitol Hill area of Salt Lake City has long had significant historical
             13      and cultural value to the people of the state. A tornado caused serious damage to Memory Grove
             14      in 1999. It is the intent of the Legislature in making this appropriation to provide financial
             15      assistance to the process of reversing the effects of the tornado damage to Memory Grove.
             16          Section 2. Appropriation.
             17          (1) For fiscal year 2001-02 only, there is appropriated from the General Fund $150,000
             18      to the Department of Community and Economic Development to help defray the costs of reversing
             19      the effects of tornado damage to Memory Grove.
             20          (2) This appropriation is nonlapsing.
             21          Section 3. Effective date.
             22          This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
