APPROPRIATION REGARDING HIGH-LEVEL
2 NUCLEAR WASTE
3 2001 GENERAL SESSION

6 There is appropriated $2,000,000, for fiscal year 2001-02 only, from the General Fund to the
7 Department of Community and Economic Development to be used to address economic
8 development alternatives to the storage or transportation of high-level or greater than class
9 C nuclear waste within the exterior borders of the state. This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 For fiscal year 2001-02 only, there is appropriated $2,000,000 from the General Fund to
14 the Department of Economic Development to be used by the department, in consultation with the
15 office of the governor, for identifying and implementing economic development alternatives to the
16 off-site storage or transportation of high-level or greater than class C nuclear waste within the
17 exterior borders of the state.
18 Section 2. Effective date.
19 This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
