Mr. Speaker:

    The Education Committee has returned H.B. 55, REIMBURSEMENTS TO SCHOOL DISTRICTS FOR FEE WAIVERS, by Representative L. Shurtliff, to the Rules Committee with the following amendments:

1.     Page 2, Line 32:    After line 32 insert:
        "(v) A student applying for a fee waiver shall provide documentation to the         school of the student's eligibility to receive the waiver under guidelines         established by rule of the State Board of Education in accordance with Title 63,         Chapter 46a, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act."
2.     Page 2, Line 55:    Delete "fee" and insert "student"
3.     Page 2, Line 55:    After $40, delete "for each fee waived" and insert "per student per academic year"
