PROVISION FOR LEGAL RELINQUISHMENT OF A NEWBORN

Representative Arent proposes the following amendments:
1. Page 6, Line 154: After "hospital shall" insert a colon and "(i)"
2. Page 6, Line 155: After "child" insert a semi-colon and "and (ii) prepare a birth certificate or foundling birth certificate if parentage is unknown and file with the Office of Vital Records and Statistics"
2. Page 6, Line 177: After "the division shall" insert "direct the Office of Vital Records and Statistics to" and after "search" delete "of the confidential registry" and insert "for a birth certificate for the child and an Initiation of Proceedings to Establish Paternity Registry"
3. Page 6, Line 178: After "maintained by the" delete "Bureau of Vital" and insert "Office of Vital Records and"
