H.B. 62 Enrolled
This act makes the Legislative Management Committee responsible for the legislative area
of the state capitol. This act provides an effective date.
This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:

36-5-1, as last amended by Chapter 84, Laws of Utah 1971
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Section 36-5-1 is amended to read:
36-5-1. Reservation of area for Legislature -- Duties of Legislative Management
Committee.
The legislative area at the state capitol includes the chambers, lounges, committee rooms,
and galleries of both the Senate and the House, the offices adjacent to the Senate gallery on all
sides, all rooms and office space between the Senate and House galleries, and all adjacent
hallways, utility space, and facilities. This area is reserved for the use and occupancy of the
Legislature and its committees and for legislative functions. The [

Section 2. Effective date.
If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this act takes effect
upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah
Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto, the
date of veto override.
