USE OF STATE ARMORIES

                  This act modifies the Veterans Code to allow any federally chartered veterans' organization
                  free use of armories as long as the use does not interfere with use by the National Guard.
                  This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
                  AMENDS:
                      71-3-1, Utah Code Annotated 1953
                  Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
                      Section 1. Section 71-3-1 is amended to read:
                       71-3-1. Use of armories by veterans' organizations permitted.
                      [Under such regulations as the state armory board may prescribe, any organization of
                  veterans of the Civil War, the war with Spain or the World War] Any federally chartered veterans'
                  organization shall have the right to the free use of armories owned or leased by the state;
                  provided[, such] that the use [shall] does not interfere with the use of the [same] armories by the
                  national guard or organized militia of this state.
