RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING LEGISLATIVE
AUDITOR GENERAL
2002 GENERAL SESSION
STATE OF UTAH

A joint resolution of the Legislature approving the reappointment of Mr. Wayne L. Welsh
as legislative auditor general and providing an effective date.
Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 36-12-7 , Utah Code Annotated 1953, the Legislative
Management Committee of the Legislature, upon recommendation of its Audit Subcommittee, has
recommended the reappointment of Mr. Wayne L. Welsh as Legislative Auditor General for the
Utah Legislature; and
WHEREAS, the reappointment of Mr. Wayne L. Welsh in this position for a term of office
of six years commencing February 1, 2002, is subject to further approval of a majority vote of both
the House of Representatives and the Senate:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of the state of Utah that Mr.
Wayne L. Welsh's reappointment as Legislative Auditor General for the Utah Legislature be
approved for a six-year term of office commencing February 1, 2002.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution takes effect and the term of office shall
commence on February 1, 2002, upon approval by a constitutional two-thirds vote of all members
of the Senate and House of Representatives.
