RESOLUTION CHANGING HOUSE COMMITTEE

                  This resolution modifies House Rules changing standing committee names to bring them into
                  compliance with the current structure. This House Resolution provides an effective date.
                  This resolution affects legislative rules as follows:
                  AMENDS:
                      HR-24.05
                  Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the state of Utah:
                      Section 1. HR-24.05 is amended to read:
                       HR-24.05. Standing Committees.
                      (1) The Speaker shall appoint the following standing committees:
                      (a) Business[,] and Labor[, and Economic Development];
                      (b) Education;
                      (c) Government Operations;
                      (d) Health and Human Services;
                      (e) House Rules (Sifting);
                      (f) Judiciary;
                      (g) Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice;
                      (h) Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment;
                      (i) Political Subdivisions;
                      (j) Public Utilities and Technology;
                      (k) Revenue and Taxation;
                      (l) Transportation; and
                      (m) Workforce Services and Community and Economic Development.
                      (2) The Legislative Quasi-Governmental Entities Committee created in Section 63-95-201


                  appointed from the members of the House of Representatives constitute a standing committee.
                      Section 2. Effective date.
                      This resolution takes effect upon approval by a constitutional majority vote of all members of the
                  House of Representatives.
