             6      This act modifies the Motor Vehicle Code. The act requires state courts to collect and
             7      maintain data to implement DUI and reckless driving laws. The act requires the
             8      Administrative Office of the Courts to make a report to the Judiciary and Transportation
             9      Interim Committees.
             10      This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
             11      ENACTS:
             12          41-6-43.7, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             13      This act enacts uncodified material.
             14      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             15          Section 1. Section 41-6-43.7 is enacted to read:
             16          41-6-43.7. Courts to collect and maintain data.
             17          The state courts shall collect and maintain data necessary to allow sentencing and
             18      enhancement decisions to be made in accordance with this article.
             19          Section 2. Interim report.
             20          The Administrative Office of the Courts shall report on data collection and DUI related
             21      data elements to the Judiciary and Transportation Interim Committees before July 31, 2002.
