             6      This act modifies provisions of the Transportation Code to facilitate the providing of certain
             7      notice electronically.
             8      This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
             9      AMENDS:
             10          72-1-302, as renumbered and amended by Chapter 270, Laws of Utah 1998
             11      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             12          Section 1. Section 72-1-302 is amended to read:
             13           72-1-302. Commission offices and meetings.
             14          (1) The commission shall maintain offices and hold regular meetings at those offices on
             15      dates fixed and formally announced by it, and may hold other meetings at the times and places as
             16      it may, by order, provide.
             17          (2) (a) Meetings may be held upon call of the governor, the chairman, or two
             18      commissioners upon notice of the time, place, and purpose of meeting [given by mail, telephone
             19      or telegraph] to each commissioner at least seven days prior to the date of the meeting.
             20          (b) Any meeting may be held upon shorter notice with the unanimous approval of the
             21      commission.
